Spooktacular Launch of Valley Play Streets
Over a dozen children from The Valley enjoyed two Play Street events over the October half-term.
The events ran from 9.30am to 12.15pm on 24th and 26th October. After a healthy breakfast, the children took part in multi-sport sessions led by Salford Community Leisure and then enjoyed craft sessions, making decorations for the Halloween Party on 31st October.
The day of the Halloween Party started with children and parents cooking healthy party food at our Eat it Fresh session at the Community Kitchen.
Over 25 children came to the Party with their parents. Salford Community Leisure’s Party Team helped out with monster dancing moves and party games, and our own amazing Sharon Butler painted fantastically frightening faces!
Thank you to our involved customers Anne and William and to staff Kate Bardsely and Linda Warburton for helping out during the week.
The project is delivering Community Impact objectives through the strategy themes of Health and neighborhoods.
