Simpler structure, same focus on improving lives

The ForViva Group plans to bring City West Housing Trust (CWHT), Villages Housing Association (VHA) and Villages Community Housing Association (VCHA) under a single landlord called ForHousing.

Simplifying our structure will help to reduce confusion and improve services. Tenants won’t need to do anything differently and won’t need a new tenancy agreement. Only the City West Housing Trust name would change to ForHousing. This means that things might look different when people access services online or when they receive information from us.

The group will retain its charitable status and staff will remain working in the same locations doing the same work they do now.

Matt Jones, Managing Director of City West Housing Trust and Villages Housing Association, welcomes the plans saying: “It makes sense to simplify our structure and bring our housing services under a single landlord with one name. We already work closely with other parts of the business across the ForViva Group.

“Whilst we may have a different brand name, it will be the same focus on improving lives, making a positive impact and investing any profits back into local communities.”

We are now seeking views from tenants and other stakeholders. You can email: company.secretary@citywest.org.uk before Friday 31 August 2018.

In September, we will firm up our plans before carrying out these changes. See the questions and answers section for more information.
