Salford flu vaccination campaign shortlisted for NHS Award!
Salford's flu vaccination campaign has been shortlisted for an NHS Employers award for Best Partnership Working.
The campaign focused on a "pester power" video, with local children talking about what they would miss doing with their grandparents if they fell ill with flu - ranging from not going to the park to not being able to have a chippy tea together!
The campaign was led by Salford's Age Well communications group, which includes representatives from Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, City West and Salford City Council. It was part of a wider campaign in 2016/17 to increase take-up of flu jabs for at-risk older people in Salford, which at that time was well below the national average.
The awards ceremony will be held on 24th April at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.
