Customers said, we did!

We’re working hard to respond quickly to your suggestions and issues. Look out for examples in your customer magazine 'Talking Trust' and on the plasma screens in our reception areas for updates as we continue to make improvements.

A recent example of 'Customers said, we did' in Eccles: In October of this year, during an estate walk about on Grindle Green and Winster Green in the Eccles area, the poor condition of the roofs, windows and external doors were brought to the attention of City West staff.

It was explained to the residents that these works were programmed to be carried out in 2013. The residents, most of who were elderly, didn’t feel they could cope with another winter with the windows they currently had and asked could this work not be done sooner.

On reflection, it was felt that there was justification to bring this scheme forward and that it would be of particular benefit to the residents who lived there. New Charter Building Company was therefore engaged to carry out these works.

Customers are really happy with the works being started ahead of schedule:
Ms Owen, Grindle Green “It’s a lot better than when it was Salford Council”
Mr Hutton, Grindle Green said “Above and beyond the call of duty”
Mr Burgess, Grindle Green said “Very good job”

The works started in late November and the final stage of works and roofs to these blocks will be completed early in the New Year.

Staff from City West visited the area on 23rd December with mince pies, festive drinks and to spread some seasonal cheer round to the residents.  The new windows and doors being replaced just in time for the snowy, wintery conditions.
