Rent

Rent for your home is due on a weekly basis. Soon after you move in a rent card will be sent to you. You will be informed of a full breakdown of rent and any service charges when you sign your Tenancy Agreement It is important you pay your rent on time, you can pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly by agreement with our Income Collection Team.

Some of our customers are also required to pay a service charge in addition to their rent (although this is included in the gross rent). This charge is to cover services such as cleaning, lighting and heating of communal areas.

There are now lots of easy ways to pay your rent and other charges:

We’ve teamed up with Allpay.net to offer you more choice and flexibility in the way you pay your rent. We’ve introduced a new City West payment card that will make paying rent and other charges easier and more convenient for you.

You can pay your rent and other charges online, please follow the link below to take you to our secure payment site that we offer through Allpay.

It is important to pay your rent on time, rent should  take priority over other debt, if you do not pay or fail to keep up with arrears payments you could lose your home. It is our aim to work with you, but as a last resort we will take legal action to recover possession of your home. If you are having difficulty paying your rent please contact our Income Officers who may be able to help. More information about help if you are struggling to pay see section 6 of your 'Customer Handbook'.

Rent is calculated using Government guidelines. The size, location and value of your home is all taken in to account. Rent Statements are provided on a quarterly basis showing the rent due, payments received for the last 13 weeks and whether your account is in credit or in arrears. You can also obtain rent statements on request showing the details of charges and payments on your account. We will give you at least 4 weeks written notice of any rent or service charge increases.
