Community Development

We know that the improvements needed in West Salford are about more than bricks and mortar. We'll be working with local communities to identify local priorities and help you to improve the area in which you live . If you live in one of the City West areas and think you can help or need help for yourself or your group, contact us for more details and meet the team.

Anti-Social Behaviour
We take Anti-Soical Behaviour (ASB) very seriously and we're committed to working with you and our community partners to tackle such behaviour. ASB can have a significant impact on the lives of our customers and the quality of our estates. Click for more information about our commitment to tackling ASB.

Estate Area Profiles

The Estate Area Profiles have been put together to provide local information specific to each Estate.  This information includes details about forming Residents Associations, forthcoming dates for Estate Walkabouts and other useful contact numbers.

Community Challenge Partnerships

City West is committed to working with customers to help develop the communities where you live. We know how important it is that we improve your homes and provide you with new kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems but we also know how important it is to help improve the wider neighbourhood.

Over the coming weeks and months we will start to work with customers in local neighbourhoods to try and find out how we can help improve the area. We will listen to what local residents have to say and work with you to deliver improvements and activities. This will be alongside the physical improvements that you can expect anyway. These will be called Community Challenge Partnerships.

Where will we start developing these partnerships?

  • Beehive estate, Swinton
  • Mossvale, Irlam
  • New lane, Patricroft, Eccles
  • Amblecote, Little Hulton
