When you become a tenant at City West you will sign a Tenancy Agreement which sets out your rights and responsibilities as a tenant. There are two types of tenancy; an assured tenancy and a starter tenancy. Our aim is to help you live as independently and happily as possible. This is why we’re always happy to help and support you, whatever it is you need.
We’re not just about helping with housing. We can offer you help and support in a wide number of ways, ranging from money advice and help managing your home to supporting you to live independently in your own home. Whatever you need, we'll do our best to help and offer our expertise and knowledge. If you would like advice or support contact your local area office or our Tenancy Sustainanibility Service.
To find out more about support and the way we work with tenants download our Customer Handbook.
Your Tenancy Agreement is a legal document which gives you the right to live in your home. It sets up your rights and responsibilities and states City West’s responsibilities to you as their tenant. This includes things like how you should look after your new home, how you and your neighbours ought to behave and has details of your rights. We must both sign your Tenancy Agreement.
Most tenants who have been with us longer than a year have this type of tenancy.
This Agreement is for new tenants and covers your first 12 months with City West. To help you settle in we will visit you at regular intervals during this time. If we are both happy, you automatically become a fully fledged Assured Tenant who has the same rights as other City West Tenants.
To check your rights and support available to you as a Starter Tenant, download the Starter Tenancy leaflet.
