Equipment and Adaptations service
From supplying additional equipment to help you get around your home, to major adaptations we can help. Our specialist in-house service can really make a difference. The service includes everything from supplying bathing equipment and grab rails to kitchen adaptations. The service is managed by City West in partnership with several specialised contractors. You can request this service by filling in the form, and we will contact you with in 10 working days to discuss any requirements.
City West also has a range of sheltered accommodation properties.
Handy Van - DIY help
Not everyone can turn their hand to DIY. That is why we offer Handy Van Services to all of our customers. All manner of jobs can be sorted from putting up shelves to assembling flat pack furniture at a cost of £15 + VAT per hour. Customers who are unable to do the jobs themselves and meet certain eligibility criteria can access the service FREE of charge for the first hour with a cost of £5 + VAT for every hour thereafter. Pirate Painters and Gardening Guerillas
Our Pirate Painters and Garden Guerillas are transforming areas and gardens of West Salford. This service is free of charge to customers who meet the certain eligibility criteria set out in our Handy Van leaflet.
These teams have been created as part of an initiative to help the long term unemployed back into work by providing training funded by the Government’s Future Jobs Fund. Whilst learning the tricks of the trades the teams can be called upon to spruce up local communities by painting external spaces, removing graffiti, painting fences and maintaining gardens for our customers who are unable to do it themselves.

PLEASE NOTE: We currently have a high demand for the Garden Guerillas service, this high demand and restrictions due to weather conditions mean there is a four week waiting period before requests can be looked at.
