Senior Team
There are eight Heads of Service each responsible for a particular service area and reporting in to our Executive Team.
Nigel Sedman - Head of Investment and Regeneration
The Investment and Regeneration team is collectively responsible for the maintenance and improvement of City West housing and commercial assets. The teams include Planning and Strategy (planning of programmes, management of asbestos and strategic investment decisions). Asset Delivery (delivery of the Planned Investment Programmes and point of contact for customers during the works) and Commercial Asset Management (non housing assets) Right to Buy, leaseholders and management of commercial assets.
Barry Brussells - Head of Property Maintenance
Barry is the head of City West Works, the home of our Skills Centre, Property Maintenance and Repairs Service Centre. The Skills team works with partners to provide jobs and skills for people across West Salford. The Service Centre is set up for customers to report repairs.
Emma Entwistle - Head of Marketing and Communications
The marketing team is here to ensure City West has clarity of purpose and we communicate this clearly to all staff, customers and stakeholders. The marketing team has expertise in all areas of communications and provide help on a range of projects from producing customer leaflets, giving advice on running events and handling all media and press communications.
Martin Barber - Head of IT
The IT team ensure that their services support the needs of the business. The ICT helpdesk is available for staff to report and fix any technical problems that are preventing them from working effeciently. The team also supports the software that is used across the organisation.
David Wright - Head of Finance
The Finance team's aim is to ensure the proper financial management of City West’s activities in accordance with statutory requirements and best accountancy practice and to promote the efficient use of financial resources. The Finance functions are combined to form a department which is able to provide a wide range of diverse services ranging from insurance to developing long term financial business plans for City West Housing Trust.
Matt Jones - Head of Housing and Neighbourhood Services
City West have four local area housing offices which provide a range of services both to residents and the local community including the effective management of neighbourhoods and the provision of a front of house reception and telephone service. Our Cental Housing team deliver our Allocations and Rent Income management functions, ensuring that properties are advertised and allocated effectively and that our rent collection is maximised. We are committed to ensuring that the services delivered are of an excellent standard and that our customers have played an active role in shaping those services.
Lisa Scully - Head of Policy, Performance and Service Development
The main role of the Policy, Performance and Service Development Team is to provide a support function for service planning activities and for reviews of City West strategies, policies and procedures. The Performance team manage, monitor and report on our performance to our customers, staff and external regulating organisations.
Viv Simon - Head of Communities
The Communities Team is responsible for the development of customer involvement and for supporting our customers and the community in which they live to deliver sustainable communities and make these neighbourhoods places that people are proud to live in.
