Tenants add their voices and experience to ForHousing's Committees and Board

Members of ForHousing’s Customer Committee are set to bring their skills and experience to our Board and other committees.

Bill Weightman, Stephen England and Kelly Nash, all dedicated members of the Customer Committee, have each taken up additional new governance roles.

Bill, who lives in Stockbridge Village, has sat on the Customer Committee for three years and has been appointed to our Board, which helps set our overall strategic direction and governs the organisation alongside the Executive Management Team and our other committees.

Stephen, from Fitton Hill, has joined the Audit & Risk Committee as an Independent Member. In this role, he will help to ensure that we are adequately monitoring risks and that we operate within a strong control framework with robust data governance.

Stockbridge Village-based Kelly brings her expertise to the People & Culture Committee. This group ensures our employees are well-supported and have the right tools for their jobs. The group also makes sure organisational culture reflects our strategy and that equity, diversity, and inclusion are prioritised.

ForHousing Board Members Chair four committees; Customer, Homes, People & Culture and Audit & Risk. The Committees help to support and oversee key changes to the organisation and provide us with different perspectives.

Newly appointed Board member Bill Weightman, said:

“I’m very pleased to be joining ForHousing’s Board and to see my colleagues from the Customer Committee bring their ideas and time to other Committees.  Their passion and drive to make things better for people is infectious and it inspires me to continue supporting the communities we live in. It’s been positive to see ForHousing embed improvements and changes over recent years to involve and include tenants and I look forward to presenting a tenants’ point of view as a Board member, bringing my professional and personal experience to the table.”

These changes come in advance of new Board Member recruits set to be announced in June including the Audit & Risk Committee Chair (designate). Look out for further updates.
