With smart phones at the ready, City West is encouraging its customers to spot it, snap it and send it.
The innovative new initiative is a simple way for customers to report things that need doing on their estate quickly and effectively. All they have to do is take a photograph using their smart phone, say where the problem is located and email or text the image to their landlord. Photos can also be sent to City West via Facebook or Twitter.
Snap it, send it can be used to report graffiti, fly-tipping and other problems that blight the neighbourhoods belonging to the West Salford-based housing association. However, people can also send photographs of the things they think City West does well, this could include improvements to homes or gardens.
The service is a fast track to getting things done. Once a text to 67200 or email has been sent to feedback@citywest.org.uk photographs are automatically sent to a designated team for action. Customers will then receive a message telling them their feedback has been logged and passed on the relevant person to deal with.
Matt Jones, Assistant Director of Housing and Neighbourhoods for City West Housing Trust, said: “This new initiative will make it easier for our customers to feedback any problems and for us to deal with them in real time. They can also feedback about anything they are particularly proud of in their neighbourhood. We aim to be a “can do, will do” organisation and this initiative is one way that we’ll be able to get things done even quicker.”
