Local residents had the opportunity to find out more about City West’s £235 million investment programme as well as community initiatives that are making a difference in the area.

City West’s Director of Communities, Paul Carhart said: “The festival season gives us the chance to meet many of our customers and local residents at one time. The response we have had has been fantastic and it is great that we are able to offer people information and advice as soon as they ask.”
Festival goers who flocked to the City West stalls were given more information on the £14.3 million regeneration of Barton Village in Eccles. The major works on the four high-rise blocks on Cawdor Street will revitalise the buildings and the surrounding area.
Paul Carhart added: “Consulting with our customers on any planned improvement works is a top priority for City West. The festivals have provided an ideal opportunity to find out their views and the type of improvements they would like to see in the community.”
