Contractors sponsor Kemball day trip

City West contractors Grahams, Savills and Emmanual Whittakers sponsored a day trip to Southport for the residents of one of City West’s sheltered schemes.

Following the recent successful race afternoon, the residents of Kemball House chose a trip to Southport to be their next event.

Kemball House is the adopted sheltered scheme of the Policy, Performance and Service Development Team and the City West Works Skills Centre.

City West’s Andy Duckworth, Rachel Power and Gary Tindale accompanied the 27 residents on a stroll down the sea front, shopping and a pub lunch.

On the return journey, there was a general knowledge and picture quiz with chocolates shared all round.

“A great day was had by all” said one resident whilst others wished to thank City West and its sponsors for putting on the event.

Another customer wrote to the team saying, “Because of the work both yourselves and the Residents Committee are doing the community at Kemball House is slowly coming together making it a much better and happier place to live.”

The residents are already looking forward to their next race afternoon and a trip to the Theatre Organ Heritage Centre in Eccles along with the residents of Shepway Court.
