Management Board

City West Housing Trust has a Board of 12 members who set out the aims and objectives of how they would like City West to be managed. The members comprise:

  • Four tenants, selected by other tenants at interview
  • Four independent members, chosen for their cross section of knowledge and expertise spanning a valuable range of areas, from finance and law, to business management and housing
  • Four council nominees

To ensure that City West would be managed effectively and efficiently the Board shadowed West Salford Council before taking over. This extensive training gave us a good foundation and the foresight needed to progress seamlessly between organisations.

Continuing this smooth transition, all Board Members are in office until the second Annual General Meeting later this year. Such commitment ensures that the same trained, experienced members progress the organisation through initial set up and its first year of operation. Following that, members enjoy a three year term of office, then each year one third of the Board either steps down or stands for re-election.
