Living in a flat
City West own and manage low-rise, medium-rise and high-rise blocks throughout West Salford. We have a specialised Caretaking and Cleaning team who are dedicated to the maintenance of these blocks and supporting our customers. Larger and Multi-Storey Blocks are usually looked after by a residential Block Superintendent or General Assistant. Please read on to discover more about these services.

Working together
You can help us provide a clean and safe environment by:
- Only letting people you know into the block. This improves security for all.
- Don’t obstruct shared areas, they can be a fire hazard.
- Use the rubbish chutes to get rid of domestic waste (if you have them)
- Use the recycling facilities
- Get rid of bulky items like fridges and sofas by calling Salford City Council’s Environmental Services on 0161 909 6500. Your Block Superintendent or General Assistant can also help you remove big items.
- Report repairs, vandalism or graffiti to your Block Superintendent, General Assistant or Local Area Housing office.
