This is a great idea that runs every Friday. Our staff pay one pound to shed their suits and come into the office in casual dress. Not only does it raise our spirits and lots of money for charity, it gives us all that Friday Feeling!
Here is a list of how successful Dress Down Friday has been so far.
In July 2010 we raised over £332 and donated it to the Cancer Research Race For Life.
We raised over £185 that helped to decorate the home of Fairbridge UK.
In May 2010 we raised £275 for Steps Charity Spina
We raised over £336 to help Myeloma UK.
In March 2010 we raised a significant amount of money to help Asthma UK.
In February 2010 we raised money for the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre, BASIC
Over £270 was raised for Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society, SANDS
All proceeds went to buy children gifts at a local women’s refuge run by Women’s Aid.
We love it when our customers get involved too. November saw us raise £296.60 for World Diabetes Day and Irlam Hornets RLFC, nominated by Jason Whitty, a customer of City West.
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness ‘Wear it Pink’ day on 30th October all our donated pounds went to this fantastic charity.
It is not just our office staff who nominate charities, our customers do too. Like Lee Dobson from Irlam who suggested September’s charity of England Amputee Football Association, who will be benefitting from £313.30. Lee is hoping to represent GB in the World Cup this year.
