Adaptations Team “go out of their way” to help customers

City West’s Equipment and Adaptations Team have been improving the quality of life for City West customers. Our new in-house service has proved invaluable to City West customers who require equipment and adaptations to live independently.

Jean is one such customer and she is delighted with the work done in her home in Eccles.

Jean said: “I have lived here for 22 years and I was a bit nervous about having the work done.

“City West have gone out of their way to help me and I am over the moon with my new bathroom.”

Jean had struggled to use her shower on her own until City West installed a new wet room and level access shower.

Jean said: “I can’t praise them enough. The workmen were always on time and cleaned up after themselves.”

Margaret from Little Hulton is another satisfied customer after having her new wet room installed.

Margaret said: “It has given me my independence. I can go into the bathroom without having to worry.

“Paul (City West’s site manager) and Marsha (Liaison Officer) have been brilliant and have kept me up to date with everything.”

As well as major adaptations, City West also provide minor adaptations such as grab rails that can make a real difference to the lives of our customers.

June in Eccles says that her life has been changed by the adaptations to her home.

June said: “You wouldn’t believe the difference this has made. I am absolutely made up with the work that has been done.

“I am writing a letter to City West to thank them for the work they have done. My neighbours have been to look at the new bathroom and now they all want one too!”
