Key ways to be involved

There are lots of ways for you to get involved and help City West improve services, estates and communities. You can get involved in a range of activities that require low, mid, and high levels of involvement. As well as these ways you can also become a City West Shareholder for just 1p*. We also have ways for children and young people to be involved too.

Low Involvement Activities:

• Take part in a survey.
• Spend a few hours at a focus group.
• Work with us on Community Challenge Partnerships.
• Have your say at a City West Forum.
• Join a Special Interest Group.
• Come to our customer conference.
• Comments, compliments and complaints.

Mid Involvement Activities:

• Join a local area panel.
• Join the Customer Excellence Panel.
• Become a Customer Inspector.

High Involvement Activities:

• Become a board member.

If you are already involved in a community group our Community Chest may be able to offer practical support, advice and help with funding.

The Community Chest

The Communities Team can offer practical support and advice to individuals and groups who wish to deliver projects of real and lasting benefit to our communities. We may also be able to help you access funding through City West’s Community Chest Fund or other sources.

• We are keen to support projects which benefit customers who live on our estates, in one or more of the following categories:
• Encourage community cohesion and good neighbouring
• Promote learning and education
• Promote employment and preparation for it
• Contribute to community safety, security and
• Respect for others
• Promote healthy living and wellbeing
• Support underrepresented groups and vulnerable people
• Promote financial inclusion
• Improve the environment
